Busy mom Susan is not only a registered nurse and project manager but also owns a pet-sitting service with her husband, Scott. Their five-year-old son is a "real jokester" and keeps them in stitches while Rupert and Zoey, 8-year-old English bulldogs, add to the fun. Zoey, pictured here, is a ham who loves to get her picture taken. As Susan says, "She may be a 'senior,' but she hasn't lost her 'oomph!'"
Inside:
Happy Birthday
from one sexy bitch to another!

The Votes Are In! Lindsey Simpson is your Mother's Day Fan Favorite!
Everybody around here's talking about Lindsey's Fan Favorite win. Congrats, Lindsey!
The undeniably adorable stars of her card helped Lindsey pull in the most Mother's Day votes, and that was no easy task. When all the votes were counted, her card was declared the winner by only 25 votes! Whew. That was a close race.
Thanks to all our dutiful voters out there for keeping us on the edges of our seats. Come back and vote for your Father's Day Fan Favorite, starting April 6. Think it'll be another close one?
Introducing Janel Derr, yourBloopers Finalist

College student Janel isn't too proud to snap funny photos of herself on what some might call bad hair days. Does she know people would have paid money to get that look in the ’80s? Janel's sister joins in the fun as well—it's all part of their no-holds-barred creative spirit. When not thinking up a new hairstyle and/or wacky pose, Janel enjoys playing with her beloved cat, Sophia.
Inside:
Another year older
and still lookin' good.
Happy Birthday!

When Carol created this card, she was a master’s degree student and graduate assistant who had just come out of a meeting about budget cuts when she saw this photo from her earlier college days. Voila...a card was born! In her “non-existent fun time,” newly graduated Carol hikes, bikes, and tries to find time to sleep.
Inside:
I was planning on getting you
two gorgeous babes for your birthday,
but this is what was left
after economic downsizing.
Happy Birthday!

Inside:
They say wrinkles are a sign of intelligence…
Sorry, I just can’t say that with a straight face.
Happy Birthday, anyway!

A beehive was more than a mother’s fashion statement for Loreen and her siblings—it was a homing device! If lost in a store, Loreen says, “all we would have to do is scan the aisles for the top of her hair!” These days, Loreen enjoys keeping track of her own kids as a stay-at-home mom.
Inside:
Feeling groovy,

Orson the bulldog is either very patient or a very big ham. He submits to
all sorts of indignities (the harmless sort) so his loving human companion,
Sara, can take lots of funny shots to show her friends. Today it's cheese
puffs; tomorrow, who knows? Sara owns a pub with her brother, and her
husband owns a comic book shop. Sara says what she likes best about
her dogs and cats are that they are "some of the most entertaining
creatures in the world, and they don't even know it."
Inside:
It’s your day.
You can be as silly as you want!
Happy Birthday!

Elaine is clearly still a kid at heart. She jumped on the opportunity to take
a few fun photos with her sister in an oversized chair while on a family trip.
Well, not literally. She recalls, "I managed to climb up the steps and crawl
into this thing. It was NOT as easy as it looked!"

Life is too short…

A transplant from southern California, Heather fell in lovewith the wide-open spaces of Wyoming four years ago when she moved there. When Heather went looking for a photo to create her card, she couldn't resist this one of her son-in-law's smile and bubbly, wide-open personality. To Heather, this photo underscores the saying that "you're only as old as you feel."
Inside:
Hope you have a swinging time.
Happy Birthday!

Penny is “just a single lady who works a lot and gets to play a little.” Playtime for her includes horseback riding and deer hunting. She says “a toddler’s giggle” makes her laugh the hardest, but we're guessing her card is going to get giggles from a bunch of older people, too.
Inside:
Reverse doesn’t work on aging, either.
Happy Birthday!

You are never too old to go green!

Why do Bonnie Neubauer’s cats prefer the toilet to their water bowls? Actually, you know what, we don’t want to know. Bonnie’s married to a guy who’s the life of any party. And she’s written two books on creativity...now why does that not surprise us?
Inside:
In honor of your special day,
we spiked the punch bowl.

Jamie has one of those kids who’d rather play with the box—or anything else he can get his hands on—than the toy! Jamie’s a happy stay-at-home mom of two sons who also enjoys being a part of a college ministry with her very funny pastor husband.
Inside:
Time for bifocals yet?

Kristin has the greatest time when she’s laughing and playing with her two-year-old daughter. “She says and does the funniest things,” says Kristin. The day she found her little girl playing dress-up with the dog, she knew she couldn’t keep this moment to herself!

Sandra is one of those angels who can't turn away a stray. Pipurr showed up on her doorstep crying after having been thrown out of a car. Of course, Sandra took him in. In this shot, Pipurr had just jumped for a grasshopper and Sandra's camera was on delay, so she caught the perfect pose. Sandra is a big-hearted sort who's always up for a joke, whether slapstick, daring, or just plain silly. No wonder animals love her in return.
Inside:
Well...
you asked for jewels and fur!
Happy Birthday!

Jennifer loves to travel with friends, and, of course, a camera is never far away. During a trip to New York, the hotel rollaway bed proved to have a mind of its own, resulting in this photo and a lot of laughs. You never know when "unexpected fun" is going to happen, but with Jennifer's fun-loving group of friends and their irrepressible spirits, it's just about a guarantee.
Inside:
Hope your birthday
is the unexplainable kind of fun.
Happy Birthday!

Natalie, a teacher and mom of a three-year-old son and a baby girl on the way, was a little anxious when her son had to be awakened for a family photo. She thought he might not smile for the camera. She liked his actual reaction much better and used this shot for their annual Christmas card!

Always Red-dy to Party
Please forgive the awful pun. Sometimes, the excitement gets the best of me. It may come as no surprise to you, but we love celebrating--birthdays, weddings, babies, Wednesdays, Fridays, any day, really. Last week, one of our team members (ahem, the redhead) had a birthday and, well, we couldn't let it go by without a little somethin' somethin'. Behold, the booth decorations . . .
Take note of the polka-dot cups, made by K.C. Tbone's own hands. She insisted they stick with the red theme. That girl is dedicated to celebrating!
Now, give it up for our redheaded birthday girl!
Lookie Lookie!
We've got real, live card samples, folks. We ordered a bunch of the yourParenthood Mother's Day cards so we could pass them on to their rightful finalists. This is just the way they'll show up in stores, ready to be unpacked and placed in their neat, little slots.
If you look reeeaaally close, you can see the finalists' names on the white pieces of paper peeking up from the top of each card pack. That's what we in card land call the PID (pocket ID). In stores, it goes in the card slot (a.k.a. pocket) behind the cards so everyone can see the card creator. It's almost like seeing your name in lights.
